

City shopping
Nottingham's a shopper's paradise. And the big name department stores, high street favourites, leading designer boutiques and funky independent retailers are just waiting for you to discover them.
Starting from Old Market Square, you'll find major stores Debenhams, Primark, and Schuh, and prime shopping areas in all directions. Right in the centre there's The Exchange and The FHMall covered arcades. Walking north will take you through Parliament Street or Clumber Street straight to the Victoria Centre. Heading south towards Westfield Broadmarsh takes you past Friar Lane, Wheeler Gate & Lister Gate, home of Marks and Spencer.
Eastwards, there's the designer and bohemian districts of Low Pavement, Bridlesmith Gate, the Lace Market and Hockley. And a short walk to the west there's much to explore with Derby Road and Canning Circus' fine and unique independent shopping.

Victoria Centre
With 120 shops all under one roof, an indoor market, and a wide selection of cafés and restaurants, Victoria Centre's a crucial stop on your shopping trail. Open seven days a week, with late night shopping on Wednesdays and Santa’s grotto from 9 November - join Jenna-Louise Coleman (Emmerdale) for the official opening at 10.45am. Victoria Centre has 2,700 covered parking spaces so getting to the shops is even easier.
Le Chien Et Moi
Housed in an elegant listed building, Le Chien Et Moi offers a diverse mix of unusual and beautiful things, old and new, in an inspiring and nostalgic environment.
Wares include an ever changing collection of covetable antique, vintage and recycled pieces for the home and garden, complemented by new products with traditional roots: handbuilt Italian bicycles, French linens and scents, mouth blown glassware, letterpress stationery, handmade ceramics, jewellery from Japan and New York and intriguing uncommon books. Open Tuesday to Saturday 10.30-5.30pm.
The Worm that Turned
The Worm that Turned is a shop that celebrates both a practical and esoteric approach to the outdoors. It’s a delight for enthusiasts of gardening or if you have to buy a present for one. It doesn’t matter if they’re a budding Monty Don or a weekend potterer, you’ll find something unusual without having to spend a fortune.
Nottingham tourism centre
Don’t forget the Nottingham tourism centre for local goods and souvenirs that make great Christmas gifts. Come and browse the range of locally produced Nottingham lace, jewellery, pottery, greeting cards, beautiful framed prints and hand painted pure silk scarves. Also this year, we're stocking individually hand painted Nottingham baubles, available in three different designs which come in a lovely gift box.
